The Gr8ful Spud @ Best Value Inn - River View Hotel

January 18, 2015

The actual entrance inside the River View Hotel

Deadly Stacked Beef Dip: Pulled beef stacked onto a house made bun crowned w swiss cheese w au-jus on the side, and upgrade to poutine w side of sour cream, edamame guacamole and house made mango salsa - 2

J's comment > not bad; beef slightly overcooked, but had a decent amt of same; bun slightly firm, kinda like a portuguese bun from the supermarket (the best kind of supermarket bun FYI - soft, but firm enough to hold stuff together); jus OK; very generous amt of cheese curds, the most I've ever had in any poutine; fries OK, slightly on the soft side, but will do in a pinch, not the best poutine ever, but for Yukon... not bad; FYI, the edamame guacamole was actually more avocado than edamame which was right up my alley

Mac N' Cheeze w steak strips, mushrooms and caramelized onions - 2

J's comment > not bad; very generous amt of cheese, there was almost more cheese than mac! steak slightly overcooked, but passable; mushrooms and onions decent

Yukon Brewery: Bonanza Brown - 2

J's comment > light and easy to drink beef, not too hoppy
