Uva Wine Bar

January 22, 2015

#55 - "LOUP-GAROU " A hot drink composed of slow-melted dark chocolate and whole milk, infused with Bittered Sling Moondog Bitters, dried chili, kaffir lime and latin spices. Served with zeppoli (Italian doughnuts!) - 2

J's comment > not bad; not sure if this is the running trend of this year's hot chocolates, but compared to last year, both Thierry and Mink (and now UVA too) have milkier hot chocolates (I prefer them really rich, almost like drinking melted chocolate :D); didn't get much other than the chocolate and milk though the other listed ingredients did look intriguing; so far the best of the three I've tried

The zeppoli - 2

J's comment > not bad; very soft and fluffy, served piping hot; lovely filling (but would have liked more)

The lunch menu that you can order off of w your hot chocolate should you choose

Extra Comment
FYI, the other two items listed on the City Food website, the Black Widow and Chartreuse Milkshake are NOT hot chocolates, they are cocktails that are actually available year round @ UVA
