Bel Cafe

February 5, 2015

#05 "RAINFOREST": 64% Valrhona Tainori chocolate. (Tainori is a dark chocolate of single origin from the Dominican Republic. On the palate, this chocolate gives notes of exotic yellow dried fruits.) Served w aerated mango, brazil and almond florentine - 2

J's comment > not bad; decent 'hot' chocolate (despite the fancy insulated glass, it was served and remained lukewarm); didn't get any of the fruit notes as described in the hot chocolate though, hot chocolate had a slightly rough mouthfeel actually; real highlight for me was the mango whipped cream on top which had a very strong mango flavor; florentine OK, lots of caramelized sugar but crisp; Available until Feb 14
