Tagliatelle w pork ragĂș, basil, pecorino romano cheese - 2+
J's comment > perfect pasta texture, lightly bouncy, not too firm or soft; very flavorful, juicy and generous amt of pork ragu; would have liked (a lot) more cheese but nonetheless consider me impressed |

Spaghetti al Pomodoro: Tomato sauce, garlic, olive oil, basil - 2+
J's comment > pasta texture even bouncier than the tagliatelle above; excellent flavor balance on the sauce, not too tart nor too sweet; meatballs would have made this dish even better than it already is; oh and more cheese... lots more cheese |

Salsiccia Pizza: Fennel sausage, arugula, parmigiano reggiano, chilies - 2
J's comment > not bad; despite the paucity of cheese (we were advised by the server in advanced and knew full well what we were getting into), a very good pizza! tender, juicy and generous amts of sausage; fennel flavor not too strong (just the way I like it); crust w just the right amt of bounce; not too spicy |

Roasted 'UBC Farm' Beet Salad walnuts, citrus, tarragon - 2
J's comment > beets crunchy, I prefer my beets a lot softer; hence I sent this back after one bite and I asked for it to be refired but the server advised the kitchen was unable to do so, so this just got taken off our bill |

Malted Milk Chocolate w pecans, chocolate mais torta, molasses caramel - 2
J's comment > not bad; surprisingly not too sweet; interesting texture on the chocolate bites, fluffy but firm, kinda like a gourmet Aero bar but much much better |
