Pacifico Pizzeria Ristorante

February 4, 2015

Sicilian hand thrown pizzetta: Capicollo, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives & red onion - 2

J's comment > not bad; good crust and good balance of all the listed ingredients; ironically, I thought this pizza had more cheese than the Margherita below; I'm not usually a fan of meat pizzas, but this combo of meats were pretty good; crust OK, not soggy at all, but a touch firmer than I like along the edge

Margherita hand thrown pizzetta: Classic tomato, mozzarella cheese, fresh organic basil - 2

J's comment > same crust as the Sicilian above; as noted, needs a touch more cheese, both mozza and something a bit stronger (blue perhaps?)

Minestrone soup - 2

J's comment > not bad; lots of ingredients, not 'just' soup; good balanced tomato flavor; on the thin side; a touch too much pepper

Clam chowder - 2

J's comment > the least creamy soup I've ever encountered, this was slightly sour; more like a Tom Yam soup w clams; very strange

Spaghetti Bolognese: Ground beef & fresh garlic in house pomodoro sauce - 2

J's comment > lots of garlic, in huge chunks nonetheless; noodles overcooked; decent amt of meat, but tasted like it could have been straight from the Boyardee can; very sloppily made
