Savarin: Dark rum soaked brioche, fresh seasonal fruit, whipped cream - 2

J's comment > not bad; very generous amt of rum; brioche uneven, soft and moist in general, but some sections were a bit harder; needs more cream to balance out the amt of rum 

Lemon Tart: Sweet pastry, light lemon curd - 2

J's comment > not bad; good lemon curd, firm enough to stand on its own yet still delicate on the palate; pastry crust good, firm and actually too hard in comparison, you run the risk of completely smushing the curd if you want to hack off a piece of the crust on the edge with a bite of the curd

Tantalus: Syrah icewine 2013 - 2+

J's comment > sweet and jammy w a full-bodied texture; very well done; FYI, we purchased this from the Tantalus Vineyard in Kelowna
